Philip Kensley has been working at the Westcott manor for the past two years, under the cruel reign of Lady Anne Westcott. In this time he's made friends with the other servants, a haven in the gardens to which he tends, and a lover in his secret romance with the bastard son, Oliver Reed.
After the Lady Westcott's death, her eldest son, Robert, returns to Devon. Despite being brothers, Oliver and Robert are constantly at odds.
