Shirley Martin was brought up in Southern Philadelphia by her mother, Anne, and father, Leroy. She was the youngest of 6 kids along with her twin brother, Eddie. And with all of her siblings being brothers, she was a born fighter. Her brothers had her join in all of their wrestling matches and taught her how to used hand-to-hand combat. They also brought her with on their many hunting trips and introduced her to different types of firearms.
When the war broke out in the Pacific, many of her brothers had left to join the War. She hadn't been informed much about the situation in both the Pacific and in Europe until 1942 when it had been brought more the newspaper. Soon after, she decided to enlist in the Army, much to her parents disliking, and after visiting with Colonel Sink, she was accepted into the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne and was put into 2nd Battalion.
This was going to be one hell of a ride.

In their years of growing up in peace, tranquillity, and hard work, Natalie and her eleven minute older brother made it clear to their parents, and nearly every other Amity member, that they just did not belong. The abundance of roughhousing, name-calling and slight sibling rivalry gave their parents a good idea of which faction their children may choose when the time came. Luckily, over the years the two of them came together, and by the time they were just about seventeen and inseparable, their choosing day arrived. They choose the Warrior Faction in need of independence and thrill. But something stirs in Russia: Communism. How will a Jew and innocent German girl make it safely in this ever-changing world that is right out their door? NOTE: This is after The Book Thief story (sequel if you will), so there are some spoilers if you haven't seen/read anything about it. However, if you don't care about the movie/book/spoilers, then it still makes for an eye opening, post-WWII fan fiction. Emilia and Lexi were twins but they couldn't be more oppersite if they tried. Emilia was selective mute, she was taught not to speak unless spoken to as time went on she stopped talking to people all together. Lexi couldn't stand that she had a twin, especially how weird she thought Emilia to be. 16 years ago was one of the happiest days of the Rosso family lives, their princesses were born but only two years later Alice Russo ran off with the twins, leaving behind her husband Alessandro and their 4 boys. Alessandro was heartbroken and being the Mafia boss, he spared no resources looking for his twin girls but Alice was good, she had help and managed to hide from mafia boss himself. As time went on, Alessandro and his sons gave up hope, until he received a call he never thought he would have. Older brothers. I have more than people could handle. I have 8 brothers. Well one is my twin, but surprise surprise he likes to make it known that he is older. Sometimes it sucks being the only girl, but I wouldn't change it for the world. My name is Alora. I am 14 years old and a freshmen in high school. People think that my family is perfect and that we have never had anything bad happen to us. We lost our mom over 9 years ago. I also had something bad happen to me, but I will get into more detail in the story. This book is just for fun. And this book is inspired by so many people, so if something seems similar tell me so I can give credit, but I would love to give a few books that inspired me to write this are "I'm a Costello," by _crazy_hooman_ , "The Storm's Return," by Cocomazza, "Our Little Moon" by nunu110383, and finally "Resilience" by liswatiii.
