The Lost Girls of Lake Lunelle

Lennon Ward has always had a knack for reading people--a talent that comes in handy when you're a private investigator. The man at the bar who's checked his watch three times in the last five minutes? Well, he's waiting for his mistress that he meets every Wednesday night in the city--and Lennon's been tailing him for weeks now. Being a PI in a small prairie town has its fair share of excitement, but Lennon is starting to lose faith in humanity with the amount of infidelity cases she's worked. Her life has become a cycle of investigating cheaters, managing the small lakeside community she's from and meeting her best friend at the local farmers market on Saturdays.
That was until she posted an ad in the paper and he showed up. Brooks O'Connor. He's a journalist, he's attractive and he wants Lennon to take his sisters missing persons case. Determined to find more meaning in her work and make a difference in her community, Lennon agrees.
Brooks O'Connor is desperate to find his sister and he's sick of small town cops not listening to him. Hailey has been clean for a year and he knows she hasn't relapsed. When she misses their weekly check-in, he knows something is wrong. Lennon is exactly what he needed--determined, well connected and good at her job. They make a great team but the more they dig, the more they realize there is something dark happening in the community Lennon has called home for as long as she can remember.
In their efforts to find Hailey, someone has taken notice of their investigation and Lennon finds herself looking over her shoulder and double checking her locks. The danger elevates and Brooks is ready to let her off the hook but Lennon can't let go of the mystery. What happened to the missing woman and why is someone prepared to kill Lennon to stop her from figuring it out?
