A long time ago, there were two goddesses called Mitsuki, the child of light, and Yami, that had grown up in darkness and sorrow because Mitsuki killed her parents. After a long fight of revenge between light and shadow, the child of light seals Yami in a human body.
Now, 400 years later, Yami is sealed in a 15 year old, ordinary high-school girl called Thalia. She doesn't know it until the goddess of shadows and darkness starts awakening in her. Lia starts hearing a weird voice in her mind and she doesn't know who it could be. Also, she really likes a guy in her class that secretly is a servant or Mitsuki.

Then, one day at school he gets an invitation from Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. Sure he's heard of it, but only in rumors. The school is just for magical creatures to learn more about themselves and their history. It was made over three hundred years ago and still run by a fairy named Cassiopea and her daughter Cassia. Arion is excited to go because his parents refuse to teach him anything about other magical creatures other than dark magic. They believe it is irrelevant for him to know because they think he will take over the world one day. And why should a leader know anything about his subjects? Arion convinces his parents that if he goes to the school he can do recon on the other magical people so he can learn about them and make it easier for him to take over. With no friends, no siblings, and a very negative outlook on life, he heads to Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted.
