The Misses Foo & Cockerill

24 parts Complete

Miss Cockerill is a few flapjacks short of a breakfast. Miss Foo is as evil as an earwig. Fans of Lemony Skicket and Roald Dahl will love this new zany adventure! To 12-year-old Eli, botanist-in-training, the women are little more than a bad bedtime story, town bogey-monsters used to scare children to sleep at night. But when he falls into their clutches, Eli will find that the stories are all too true, and the horrors lurking in their crumbling mansion are worse than he could have imagined. If Eli is to escape, he will have to outsmart the cunning Ms. Foo, outdumb the witless Ms. Cockerill, and outmaneuver the bloodthirsty Stranglervine. And that's not even to mention the terrible secret the Misses are hiding in the basement. Some days, escape isn't enough. #1 in kidlit #4 in youngreader #10 in kidsbook #12 in middleschool #18 in middlegrade Runner-up in PIPBC - Humor 2020
