Ashantae was but three years old when she first saw The Mother, Masari. The Mother frightened Ashantae with her wild appearance, but also made her feel warm, safe, protected. Her sister and her were orphaned, but never alone in their small tribe of superstitious people. The Mother was feared and revered and legendary. Ashantae was curious about this feral Goddess with her cold blue eyes and violent red hair that glowed purple and red in the sun. She felt a deep-set longing connection to The Mother.
This is a story I've been wanting to write down for a very long time, but have only just found a reason to. This story takes place during the early years of our world, much before the age we live in. The lead character, Ashantae (Uh-shan-tay) is a young teen of 16, living in a world gifted with The Mother. Soon after her 16th birthday, The Mother loses her female companion and adopts Ashantae, sharing with her her longevity, her strengths, her senses, and the history of how all came to be.

After a while, she meets Ravoncroft, a man who holds the spirit of Thoth, the Egyptian god of power and knowledge, and is very smug with others. As Destiny discovers more and more about who she is, she struggles to keep her humanity in check. When Destiny realizes and accepts who and what she is, her 'destiny' is made more clear. Now with her secret past and secrets, she still hides, to her power of a goddess, she has the choice to use it for good or evil. As the saying goes, "Absolute Power Corrupts", Does she let the power corrupt her or does she overcome the corruptible nature of the power. Those children were researched and studied. Doctors all over the world tried to understand what made these kids the way they are. What changed in their DNA that gave them these powers? These kids were labeled special and were very revered. Andeline Masters is one of those children. She is also the daughter of the murdered King and Queen of the 1st kingdom. Her uncle, who now rules, abuses her powers and is slowly ruining the kingdom, bringing the other 7 down with him.
