Opus Dei is a secret society which exists since the 17th century. It has a hereditary character and operates under grave circumstances. No one who doesn't have a family recommendation to enter is not allowed to even get near the smallest members. They have this famous lodge, from the smallest member to the most important people whose names aren't known to the ordinary people. These "shadows" are said to be the rulers of the world, the ones who actually control everything we do, on a macro scale, as puppets. They have been financing all sides on every war forever, they own every piece of gold on the planet, every bank, every building, every...person pretty much. These people are the only trillionaires the world has. These are the big daddys, the ones that keep punishing the world and us without us even knowing it.

"I am going tell some of the guards to take you home and I promise you will never see me again. I see the fight in you, I see your fear. But first,"
His hands cup my cheeks and his face is inches away from mine. I am full on shivering. He licks his lips before moving his head slowly, so he could whisper in my ear, "Kiss me. Just once. Just like you wanted to in the elevator, before you saw that sign."

A delayed flight. A stranger at a hotel bar. A one night stand. Stranded in New York for an extra night than planned due to a delayed flight, I needed to find a way to keep myself occupied, and I soon found that something. It was easy enough when the handsome stranger introduced himself to me as Kade. It has been a while since I have had a hot one-night stand, and he reminds me how fun it can be. There are no questions, expectations or reasons to see one another again. What I don't expect is our night together to come around and bite me in the ass. When I arrive at a family dinner with my parents and two older sisters to celebrate my return home to Scotland, he is sitting right there with them. Not only is he my father's new business partner, but he is my sister's blind date set up by my parents. We pretend to be strangers because things would become complicated if we didn't. No one ever needs to know about what happened between us. My dad would freak out if he found out about us because he is overly protective of me as the youngest, and with the age gap between Kade and me, my father wouldn't approve. My relationship with my older sister is already strained; I don't need to make things worse between us. Even though he doesn't seem interested in her and he tries his best to show that it could still make all hell break lose. My sister hates losing. She always gets what she wants. I should stay away from him, but it is easier said than done with the tension and chemistry between us, and we struggle to fight against it. No matter what happens, it needs to be our secret to keep.

They say the world doesn't revolve around anyone. But for her, it did. Every action, every word, every breath she took sent ripples through the lives of those around her. A single misstep-no matter how small-left scars so deep they infected everything they touched. They never asked what she wanted. They didn't care. To them, she was power. A weapon. A curse and a blessing wrapped in silk and steel. A pawn in a war she never asked to fight. But they made a mistake. They pushed her too far. Because when a person loses everything-when they're stripped bare, when their mind frays at the edges, when the last tether holding them to sanity snaps-what's left isn't human. It's something else. Something terrifying. And now, the world will learn that the most dangerous thing isn't power. It's a woman who's done being controlled. . . . Lesson 1 - Being underestimated isn't a weakness. It's the sharpest weapon in your arsenal. Lesson 2 - Love is neither strength nor weakness. It's a chain-whether it binds or breaks you depends on who's holding the other end. Lesson 3 - Revenge isn't something you forgive. It isn't something you forget. It's something that lingers, festers, and demands to be fed. Lesson 4 - Fear isn't taught. It's carved into us from birth. The world just keeps digging deeper. Lesson 5 - No one loses their mind without reason. Madness is not born-it's made. And there's always a trigger.

Introduction Imagine a future where the most precious commodity isn't money or gold, nor power, but the very essence of who you are: your memory. Welcome to Dome XIII, a dystopian metropolis where every fragment of life, every emotion, every experience is encoded and archived in neural diaries, the Scriptum. Here, memory is the new currency, the very breath of the economy. Those who possess it hold power. Those who lose it... vanish into oblivion. In this hive of rogue artificial intelligences, obsessive clubs, and liquid architectures, every transaction is an exchange of identity. Do you desire unattainable luxury? An emotion you've never felt? The price is always the same: a memory. But you cannot choose what to forget. Every payment with memory is a blind ritual, a leap into the void. The machine extracts randomly, and it's not always an insignificant detail. The price is unknown until the very end, but once paid... it's forever. Every individual in Dome XIII has a Scriptum, a Neural Diary that records every lived and internalized experience. It is a sacred-technological object, an inseparable extension of the mind and identity. Without it, one is nothing; the collapse of identity is total: those deprived of it become Nameless, sentient but disoriented, fragmented creatures, starved for meaning and self, destined to ramble in the void of the city's shadow zones, sometimes degenerating into something less than human. The elites and powerful Megacorporations feed on the memories of others, acquiring them in a parasitic capitalist race. Artists sell pieces of their memory to create immortal works. The masses slowly bleed themselves dry, selling their past to live illusions they won't remember. Every choice costs a piece of you. And the bill always comes due. Dome XIII is a world where identity is a luxury, memory is a commodity, and one's name... is the last defense against nothingness. "Who are you, if you don't remember yourself?"

Eleanor De Costa. The Princess of the Italian Mafia kept far away from her empire for a decade, being thrown on a boarding school for the rich and elite since she was just an 8 year old little sweetheart. Separated from her older brothers, cousins, uncles, aunts, and grandparents with no contact. Now that she has graduated as valedictorian, she's ready to go back home. However as she steps back into her childhood walls, greets the faces of whom abandoned her at such a young age, Eleanor can't help but feel angry. Revenger starts becoming a craving as needed as air. But as she strives to hunt and harm, ignoring the battle wounds reopening, she starts to ask questions, questions that challenge the morals she built her mental wall around. When do the consequences outweigh the prizes? When does the heart finally speak against the mind? When is it enough? _____ "The hollow hole in your soul that just for some reason keeps on growing. The loneliness slowly overcoming you. Slow enough for lack of realization yet sure enough to surely over rule you're senses one day. The kind that only family would ever dare leave in their absence." "I have my friends to fill that hole." "You can't heal a bullet wound with a bandage."
