100 years after the earth was destroyed by nuclear war, 100 delinquents are sent back down to see if earth is survivable.
Among them was John Murphy, who was banished from the group and is now being forced to unwittingly help the grounders plot against his people. He meets Kate, a grounder with her own secret, who may end up being his only way of breaking free, but not everything is how it seems.
