The sky, which had been bathed in a soft red, had to be an indication that this was a real world, after all there was a sun and a moon, as well as stars. Was I still on Earth then? Or were there other planets that had the same orbit?
What should I do now? Should I wait for something to happen? Would that eventually wake me up? Or should I keep moving to find an answer?
Questions upon questions, but no answers.
A lump formed in my throat, and I had to swallow it. The sour aftertaste remained. The nausea had been with me all afternoon and didn't seem to let go of me even now, even though I had already eaten and drunk something.
I turned away from the window and stared at the photo wall that Mom had put up for us on my fourteenth birthday. It was filled with memories of everything I never wanted to forget. I wanted more photos to be added, after all, my story was far from over. But would I ever go back to fulfill that wish? Now, I didn't believe such a reunion would happen.
