Maia awakes In the rubble of her family home and finds the shiny ruby hilt that belonged to her mother's sword. She forces the object onto her wrist and it unlocks something deep inside her: The cursed Sword of Swords.

At its core this is a coming of age story about a young girl healing her trauma and navigating her emotions in an unfair world. She finds hope in the most desperate of situations and builds herself up again and again. She forms bonds despite conflicts and stays true to an unwavering code of loyalty to her loved ones.
