Rosaline had always been content with her life.

Gold dripped from her finely tanned skin in the form of dainty chains and intricate earrings. The diamond on her finger was large but tasteful, A display of her husband's devotion to both Rosaline; his wife, and his country.

She was happy reading by the fire in her husband's study, gown billowing out around her slim hips and ending just below her ankles.

She believed her life was perfect, she believed it with all her heart as she sat upon her simplistic throne, next to her husband, the king.

She believed her life was perfect, because she had to.

Bianca's father died after she finished her national service, and it was quite difficult for her as she had to take on the responsibilities of taking care of her sick mother and siblings. At that time, before the death of her father, who was the breadwinner of the family and responsible for taking care of his sick wife and family. But when her father died, the weight was so heavy on her that she didn't have a job or money to sustain herself and her family, or even to pay for and perform all necessary burial rites. Oyinola Adebayo, who is Bianca's friend and whose parents are wealthy, assisted in taking care of her father's burial rites and Bianca's mother's hospital bills. Bianca, a God-fearing Christian, applied to several companies but got rejected despite being a first-class graduate of business administration. Heavily saddened by the rejections from companies she had applied to, she began working in a local restaurant in order to provide for her family and pay her mother's hospital bills. One day, after work at night, Bianca found a lady who was stranded and soaked in the rain. Feeling sad and bad about once being in her shoes, helped her and spent her last penny on her, ordered a cab, and took her to her home. "The Last Song of the Siren" by AngheJB
11 parts Ongoing
The first time Camila heard the song, she thought it was a trick of the current. A soft, haunting melody drifted through the water, threading through the coral like a whisper. She adjusted her mask, exhaling slowly, the sound of her own breath too loud in the stillness. Then it came again-low, aching, impossibly beautiful. Her pulse quickened. She had spent years chasing this sound, following reports from fishermen and myths from island elders who spoke of a voice that called only to the lonely, the lost. A siren, they said, but not the kind who lured sailors to their doom. This one sang only for one person. And somehow, impossibly, it was singing for her. Camila followed the sound, pushing through the water, her flashlight beam cutting through the darkness. Then, she saw movement. Not a fish, not a shadow, but something else entirely. A woman. She hovered just beyond the reef, golden eyes catching the light. Her hair swayed like seaweed, her skin shimmered in shades of blue and silver. She should have been impossible. Camila's lungs burned, but she couldn't look away. The woman lifted a hand, fingers curling in invitation. And then, just as Camila's vision blurred, she felt arms around her, pulling her upward. Breaking the surface, gasping for air, she blinked against the salt spray. For a moment, she thought she had imagined it all. But the song still echoed in her ears. And when she looked back down into the deep, those golden eyes were still watching.

She has her own business, works hard and all-in-all, she's happy. For the most part, that is. As long as she still has her seclusion for which she has worked hard and values above all else, then she will be fine. If people would just stay away... Leah has been blind her entire life but never let it hold her back as she embraced it with open arms. She hasn't ever known any differently and life is great. Or at least, it could be with these new changes. Moving to a new town, Leah is excited to begin a new life, but her family isn't exactly shy about their protectiveness of her. If only she could be somewhere, anywhere where people would treat her just as they would anyone else. As their paths cross, Leah and Trinity's lives are forever changed, some changes for the better and others still up for debate. People can sometimes surprise us in the most exhilarating of ways, however, and they are just about to find out exactly why. From the corner of my eye I can see her guards running into the room. With all my strength I pinned her against the wall and quickly reached for the gun around her waist and point it at her ready to shoot. "What are you going to do, love? Shoot me?" "Don't call me that." She ignores me and raises her hand and flicks the safety of the gun off, which I had forgot about.
