When Alex meets a new boy in her class she is first scared by how he is acting but soon begins to trust him when he comes to her rescue and when a big secret was revealed to her now her semi normal teenage life has been completely reversed she learns of a different world, a different past and how her future will be drastically different then what she ever expected.
