Awful rubbish story I wrote for my English class. If you see any weird words, like "vicissitudes" or some shit, it is most likely a part of the 25 vocabulary words we were required to include in the story. I just want to warn that this is a really shitty story and it was written at the very last minute (I pulled an all nighter that day. It was bad.) so it doesn't really make that much sense but I still wrote it as lore I want to use in my au. This fic is about Godred and Culdee's relationship and shows a glimpse of their backstory. It takes place in the Culdee Fell Railway. Their relationship gets slightly rocky but by the time it starts to heal, it's too late. Obviously this is heavily inspired by the Mountain Engines section in the Railway Series so some of the dialogue from there is in here. Also there is mentions of blood, gore, and slight body horror so reader discretion is advised. (I will be marking this for mature audiences just in case). I'm just warning you, don't read this it really sucks and its not my best work at all.

I am republishing this for a friend who wanted to read a sample of my work. The plot is all over the place, but I know I'll revisit it in future. I initially wrote this in 2017 before I knew a lot of things I know now. There's a lot in here that is culturally insensitive. I have done my best to edit out what I could find at first glance, but if you see something glaringly offensive please make a comment about it so that I can correct my errors.
