Chloe Bourgeois-Dumont, for lack of better words, crumbling apart. Champagne and wine glasses becoming filled closer and closer to the brim, nights spent longer in bed with the light on, waiting for her husband to finish so she could finally try to go to sleep; days spent sitting on her balcony as she watched life below her continue on.
That's just that though. That silly word. Try. She could try many things. Anything she wanted in fact, anything in the world.
Chloe could hardly remember the day when statements like that rang true through her head twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Days when all she had to worry about was seeing her best friend Adrien Agreste, finding new ways to torment Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and wondering what type of Coffee Sabrina was going to bring her in the morning.
What a wonderful time that had been.

Chloe stood at the edge of the room holding tightly onto her little girl's hand. She could hear the murmuring, she could hear what her former classmates were saying. The disbelief and distaste spit out of their mouths easily.
For once, she wished her husband was here.
He was horrible. But he had to be better than karma.

All of the characters that go to school in the MLB show are aged up to about their mid-twenties. TW: R@pe, su!c!de mentions, panic attacks etc. If that triggers anyone, I suggest you don't read this, this is told mostly from Chloe's perspective, so please don't come at me for it.
I just honestly don't think that Chloe deserved what the show gave her.
Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Chat Noir do not belong to me, and belong to all of their respective owners. I only own the plot, and any characters that you guys don't recognize are probably from my weird mind.
Adrien had gotten into one of the biggest arguments he had ever had with his father, leading him to run from his home as his alter ego, Chat Noir. They had grown apart since his mother's disappearance. Adrien always tried to speak with his father and try but he was always busy or away. He finally snapped at his father. But where would he go for the night? He had to find someone he could trust.
Marinette wasn't expecting Chat Noir to show up on her balcony with red eyes filled with tears. Her first thought after seeing him was the akumatized version of him, Chat Blanc. She immediately brings him inside, making it her job to help him. She was not going to let her partner become her worst nightmare. He needed some place to feel safe? She would become that.
It became an everyday thing. Chat Noir would visit Marinette every day, they would talk about their days as Chat tried to keep his as dense as possible to not reveal his identity. They would play video games and eat food from the bakery. But what happens when something happens to Marinette that makes her break? Marinette has no where to go so Chat decides to be that place. What will he do to help her when things go downhill in Paris?
