Jayce is a normal human with his only goal in life is to go through the motions until he can't anymore, he doesn't know much about vampires and doesn't know anything at all about the Darling System, a system which helps vampires find soulmates, he just wants to get through his shift at the bar he works at and go home to sleep.
Elliot is an energetic, bubbly, talkative vampire who's a regular at the bar Jayce works at, coming in to talk to the grumpy bartender more than snag a drink, Jayce doesn't think much about the dynamic between him and the chatterbox until one day Elliot blurts that he wants Jayce to be his Darling, the only problem is, the Darling system comes with rules:
