Valerie had a prefect life in a small town in Ohio. But when her parents get into a car crash that kills her mother and paralyzes her father Valerie is forced to live with her forgetful grandmother in New York City. Having no friends and being put into a big city after living on a farm all her life she is falling apart. 
Jade is an outgoing, hyper, bubbly girl who has always lived in the Big city and hates small towns. She is a dreamer and the other kids at school avoid her because she is always walking around with her head in the clouds.
What happens when these too very different girls collide?
