The Dark Forest
*Completed* With their kingdom is falling apart and in debt, Prince Roman and Prince Remus head out to the Dark Forest with hope that they will find the Heart of Life. With the Heart, they would be able to save their kingdoms crops and pull the kingdom out of the dark days. However, within a few days of traveling through the forest, they are attacked and lost in the forest, with only a servant and knight for company. Mal, a dragon witch, lives in the forest with her two sons, Janus and Virgil. Though the three are powerful, Mal made enemies with the fae who have ever since been trying to kidnap Janus for revenge. Luckily, or maybe unfortunately, they ignore Virgil for the most part since he was adopted. When they cross paths with the humans, things get a bit... messy. Welcome to the world of Pokemon, a world where supernatural and mysterious creatures call home. All Pokemon come in different shapes and sizes. Some are used for battle, some are seen as pets or companions, and others help in all sorts of ways in society. Pokemon coexist with humans, and both work together in order to further progress into the future. But what if the future wasn't as "sunshine and rainbows" as they thought. The world became plagued with a deadly deep-red, smoke-like miasma that devoured and corrupted all that was unfortunate in getting in its way. Because of this, most of the population was forced into multiple civilizations protected under highly defensive domes. But one city in particular, stood out more than the others. The largest protected bastion located in the region of Neo Radia. It's a region home to the strongest resistance, the Royal Guards; highly skilled Pokemon trainers who protect their dome civilization and find ways to be able to reclaim the outside world. But where there is light, there's shadows that hide in the darkness. WARNING!!! Life before Mr. Gale's Mythian Academy was simple: I only ever worried about what I was going to eat for dinner, what book I was going to read next, or whether my siblings would be able to make it through high school after me, but now life's gotten a lot more complicated because before hurling me down a hole, Alice would be jealous of, my headmaster gave me this letter explaining the unbelieveable truth. ⁓⁓⁓ To my dear First Years, The artifact stolen from the Academy is essential for the continuation of our existence. A land of shadows, of mystery, of obfuscated Truth. Welcome to the Greylands, that strange world, within the bounds of Time, peopled by mortal men. We cannot see truly, only as through a glass, darkly. There are things that move and have their being completely beyond our ability to perceive them. There are things beyond our mortal ability to comprehend. There are hints and glimmers hidden within the body of revealed Truth, but there is much we do not know, cannot yet understand, and could never dare dream. These stories are mere fancy, with a seed of Truth at their core. They play with the ideas of mortality and Eternity, Time and things beyond it, and of course the epic battle of Good against Evil. Each stands alone, and though there are common themes, threads, names, and concepts, each story is an entity unto itself and should not be seen as occurring in the same world or mistaken for installments of a series. These are random musings, not Gospel Truth, and should not be taken as such. Joy, hope, and encouragement are hopefully a byproduct, but certainly not sound Theology.
