Jaime went to King's Landing to rescue Cersei from the impending danger that is brought by Daenerys. But their reunion only confirmed Cersei's evil nature and that she's incapable of loving other people other than herself. To mend his status, Jaime brought Cersei to Daenerys as a token to seek the Queen's pardon. As he travels back to Winterfell, he cannot stop himself from dreaming about Brienne's touch. But when he finally arrived at Winterfell, he discovered that the woman he's been dreaming about for the past few months has found comfort from another man, Tormund Giantsbane.
*Just like everyone, I am also very disappointed towards Season 8 especially Jaime & Brienne's story. To cope up with their traumatic ending, I wrote a story that is dedicated to them. Enjoy!
