Jaime went to King's Landing to rescue Cersei from the impending danger that is brought by Daenerys. But their reunion only confirmed Cersei's evil nature and that she's incapable of loving other people other than herself. To mend his status, Jaime brought Cersei to Daenerys as a token to seek the Queen's pardon. As he travels back to Winterfell, he cannot stop himself from dreaming about Brienne's touch. But when he finally arrived at Winterfell, he discovered that the woman he's been dreaming about for the past few months has found comfort from another man, Tormund Giantsbane.
*Just like everyone, I am also very disappointed towards Season 8 especially Jaime & Brienne's story. To cope up with their traumatic ending, I wrote a story that is dedicated to them. Enjoy!

Irrista is the fourth of the youngest siblings of House Lannister. After their mother died from child birth, Irrista was raised by Cersei, Jaime, and Tyrion, but unfortunately not her father, Lord Tywin. When growing up, they left Casterly Rock and went to King's Landing for Cersei's wedding, after the Targaryen mad King was dealt with. Years later, Irrista is one of the secret assassins and spys for King Robert and the Lannisters. She killed numerous of men and women who are against the king and the Lannisters, and who defied the orders of the seven realms from King's Landing. A month passed, and Irrista received a message from the King and her sister Cersei to come back to King's Landing. She refused to come, but more and more letters and messages came, she couldn't stand it anymore. She then, left Casterly Rock to help serve the king and help her sister. When she came in through the doors, Irrista sees the king sitting on the iron throne and her sister standing beside him. Something was not right. Read more to find out. Brienne of Tarth Fanfiction. This is a story set in George R.R. Martin's famed A Song of Fire and Ice series. It takes place in an alternate timeline in which Jon Snow and Sansa Stark returned to Castle Black after the Battle of the Bastards in Season 6. While they leave Winterfell in very capable hands, more work needs to be done in preparation for the real war coming between The Others-their icy adversary from beyond The Wall-and mankind. Sansa and Jon send their trusted King's Guardsman, Brienne of Tarth, with her squire Podrick Payne, out into the isolated villages, towns, and Great Houses of the North, to recruit more soldiers for the Night's Watch. When the two find themselves in a bleak situation an ally appears. This new ally, by the name of Saga, may hold the key to winning the battles to come-a wealth of Dragon Glass. Jon Snow aligns with this new ally in order to advance their chances of making it out of the Long Night alive. In the meantime, the conflict that has been plaguing the Kingdoms spills over into the Stark children's business and they are forced to face it at the same time. After having met Cersei in King's Landing, Jon and Daenerys get to Winterfell, and the Starks and the Targaryen(s) get ready for the battles to come, against the dead and against Cersei. Besides the wars, many personal challenges are ahead. How will Daenerys react to Jon's true identity? How will Sansa accept Daenerys as a Queen? How will Jon learn how to be a king? Meanwhile, Cersei is plotting in King's landing, unleashing all of her intelligence to annihilate the Dragon Queen, helped by unimaginable accomplices. ******************************************************************************* Watching how GoT ended for me was physically painful, for how much I loved two characters in particular (Jon and Daenerys), so to cancel that image, to feel better, I decided to write what I would have wanted to see in season 8, in 6 episodes, which have titles different from the show.Complete
