Hour 1: Big Joe, Harrison's public van arrives Agadez, finds silence and no taxi on the street in the entire town and houses and streets are lit by the city's electricity.

Hour 2 and 3: The boys and girls get up to leave the park to start their trip on a dark sea that will continue on a darker ocean way.

Hour 4: There is fear that foreign identity will give them away.

Hour 5: There is blood spill and stains and one of them is dead.

Through a period of 12 hours, two friends must confront their greatest frustrations, and deepest fears, as they come face-to-face with the men who had killed one of them. In a territory where hatred and violence against strangers hits an all-time peak and cruel judgments are a frightening familiar reality for teenage African boys and girls, This Is Where It Starts is a calling cry to permanently end the epidemic abuse that targets and drives teenagers beyond the borders of our nations.
