In the outside world, Aaliyah Hayes was always a girl who was known for her cheerful character and was well-known for her grades, and was almost finishing high school. But not everything is what it appeared to be, in reality back at home, she has to deal with her abusive mother who has a drinking problem after Aaliyah's father passed away when she was just 13.
Wanting to leave her abused home, she was now forced to stay until she and her mother could take care of the huge debt that was left behind after her father's death. But neither she nor her mother could afford to pay for all of it and the consequences are huge...
...especially since that debt is payback for one of the most dangerous mafia families in the city for what Aaliyah's father had asked from them.
In hatred and blaming her daughter for everything that had happened to them, Aaliyah's mother left Aaliyah in the hands of the Grayson Crime Family. They forced Aaliyah with two choices: either to become the bride of the heir of the family; the infamous and dangerous Xander Grayson or to be left alone with no one to help her.
