"Whatever," is the natural reply from Mori. He tried to care for nothing after his parents were murdered. When he moves from Germany to America, he meets another transfer student who happened to transfer on the same day. A happy, bouncy girl from Japan named Kumiko makes a complete turnaround of his life, whether he wanted it or not. It's an uphill battle for the two of them as they face the horrors of high school. Little do they know what awaits them at the finish line.

Meant to be a comedic relief with romance added to the mix, this book is a remake of the previous one, also called Mood. The story has changed but the end result is still the same: death.
