Kitsunes...what do they mean? And what are they known for?
Kitsunes are a historical Japanese fox spirit that is said to have powers such as shape-shifting, and whose power is increased by the number of tails.
They are known for being trickster foxes renowned for their mischievous metamorphic abilities. He is regarded in Shintō lore as the messenger who ensures that farmers pay their offerings to the rice god. Buddhist stories, however, cast the fox as an evil agent of possession.
Behavior. Kitsune are often portrayed as wild, occasionally wicked foxes, who delight in mischief, pranks, or evil. They are often seen as tricksters or sometimes even powerful sorcerers who use their abilities for evil. Even so, they are known to keep their promises, repay any debts, and remember friendships.
Most kitsunes are known to be very sneaky and evil. And this proves it.
The four brothers finally have some time for themselves after defeating some old enemies. But once they settle down for only like five seconds, a NEW villain appears out of the dark and she has some tricks up her own sleeves.
After an unfortunate battle, they end up finding a NEW friend who was dragged into this situation. She is a rather smart girl but is rather strange. But, it's okay, not everyone is perfect.
Except maybe she knows too much about history, especially kitsunes.
!KNOW THIS! I will be trying my best to keep it in third person, unless a POV change happens if I say so.
The world isn't really what you think it is. Below the surface there is a battle for good and evil. Supernatural beings live, love and fight on both sides of the war. No one knows who's winning and depending on who you ask what side they are on, good or evil. Lines were drawn thousands of years ago. Between those that fed on humans in some way or another called Verga versus those that didn't called Empa. A battle that never ends with only one reward. Their consort, a supernatural beings soul mate.
Dahlia is Kitsune. A kind of shape shifter that takes the form of a fox. She believes Kitsune are on the good side of the war. She was lucky her consort was born in her pack. They were neighbours and best friends since a young age. Their relationship was beautiful and special. In a time when many Kitsune were not able to find their consort James and Dahlia were never without theirs. Then an evil Wraith took James' life and Dahlia's reason for living away along with her capacity to love.
The Wendigo found Dahlia in the twisted metal heap that used to be their car, just moments before her soul left her body. He fed his blood to Dahlia and brought her back to his home against her will. Dahlia should have died that day for more reason than one. But for some reason she was getting healthier by the day.
Why is she alive? How could she live without her consort James? How was she going to raise their child without her ability to love? Why did the Wendigo save her? Why does he call Dahlia his consort? Most importantly...why does Dahlia want to believe him?
