Angel Cake {Rewritten}

Elias Vincent is a sharp-tongued, short-tempered man with an urge to control everything in his life. The detective-slash-crime scene investigator worked in the city's police department for almost three years now. He was hired for his eye for detail...along with his experience with the supernatural. No one truly knew why but Vincent was the man for the job when it came to the unknown. He'd find and quickly capture those who weren't supposed to exist in the first place.

He loved his job, his friends, and was content to live with whatever life threw his way. But things start to turn for the worse when a threat bigger than anything he's encountered lurks in the city. The job is too much for him, he can't handle it alone.

The department has no choice but to call in an expert: His new partner.

And things only continue to get worse the longer they work together: more monsters and creatures of nightmares appear all over the city. The threat only seems to grow every passing night. His partner doesn't seem to care, challenging everything Vincent built in the past few years...and slowly waking up parts he never knew about himself, along with questions he'd rather leave unanswered.

This is a story about mystery, crime, love, and what happens when the difference between 'Good' and 'Evil' is more blurred than it seems. Nobody is perfect...not even an angel.
