Inkopolis has just been saved once again by the Squid Beak Splatoon. Agent 3 feels suspicious about the new agent, agent 8, an Octoling. Being on many missions herself, fighting Octolings like him, she can't help but get the feeling that something about him isn't quite right. Agent 8 feels unsure and unwelcomed to the city as he is forced to hide his identity as not all inklings accept Octolings into their home. Not only that, but he also has a problem with getting along with Agent 3! But what happens if a mysterious, unknown threat comes toward the surface, threatening to destroy both Inkling and Octoling kind alike? Can the agents work together to save their race?
