Marceline Willow Fitch was born in Alaska, but never has a single memory of leaving Louisiana. She didn't stay in a constant place until the death of her parents when she was 9. Quiet, reserved, and well-mannered was what everyone called her, but she still doubted herself. Now, she was leaving her forever hometown to go to New York for artist school, without anyone but herself.

Matteo Lyam Bernard grew up in Lyon, France. He never knew his father, but received double the love from his mother and older brother. When a turn of events led him to New York at the age of 17, he figured out how to make due on his own. Now, he's a very wealthy man at the age of 25, but his mother reminds him he needs to begin a search for love some day.
