Roland doesn't know what's going on. One minute he's walking to work, and the next he's being dragged into a shadow war spanning back to Ancient Japan. Ancient ninjas and assassins fought against their mortal enemy, the Khans. Now, modern-day shinobi fight against the descendants of the Khans, struggling in the shadows. And Roland has managed to get caught up in it. Now he has to make a choice, one that could end the war, or escalate it into the light.
Trinity is at a crossroads. She's being sent on a mission to kill one of the major players in the war against the Khans' descendants that - if successful - could tip the war towards an end. If she fails, then the shinobi will die out, and the Khans will win. But the choice presenting itself to her is a dangerous one. And when she starts questioning her beliefs, it could change everything.

A long time ago, in days of old, a blacksmith was tasked to make the strongest weapon imaginable. A perfectionist, the blacksmith finds themselves at the brink of madness trying to achieve his task. Sacrificing a great deal, the blacksmith learns how to create weapons to fit what he needed. Forging a weapon made from a great beast, the blacksmith is unsatisfied, and so he tries. again...again...and again. Every year, for an entire decade. In the end, when he managed to forge a weapon he deemed perfect, he disappeared but left behind a wicked legacy. The ten weapons he made become to be known as The Demonic Decade for the first ones to find the weapons went beserk and destroyed several cities. Now, after several decades, the tenth weapon has landed in the hands of a boy who now searches for something to rid him of the cursed weapon that will not leave him. Three years have passed since the end of the Fourth Great Shinobi War, but for Ayuka Yuna, it still felt like only yesterday. Nightmares and gruesome memories of the battlefield haunted her mind on a daily basis, forever reminding her of the corpses littering the ground. Over time the incessant thoughts and images were too much, and she became desperate to escape them... by any means necessary. Suigetsu Hozuki had grown closer to Ayuka throughout the war, becoming one of the only people that she felt she could trust. "Naruto!" Sasuke gasped. "Have you seen Sakura?" "That's..." Kakashi cut Naruto off with his hand, waving him down. "That's actually why we came here... actually." Kakashi said. "Until further notice; your mission that you were to go on is not happening." Sasuke just looked at Kakashi, he wasn't known for stopping a mission unless something terrible was happening. "What happened to my Fiance..." Sasuke murmured. He wanted to inch his hand to his sword. He wanted something physical to attack. His anger was smothered in fear. "What would you think Karin would want with Sakura...?" Kakashi murmured. Kairn? What did she have to do with any of this. "I... I honestly wouldn't know... I don't keep up with them anymore. Why?" "Because Sakura was reported to be knocked out in a red headed girls arms just this morning, they tried to catch up to her, but failed." Kakashi murmured, Naruto grabbed Sasuke's arms and pinned them to his sides. Everyone knew Sasuke was about to act irrationally. Sasuke was wordless, he didn't know what to do. His mind raced. They couldn't catch up to Karin? They couldn't save her? He knew there was something they weren't telling him. "What the fuck.... you told me she was safe in this damn village!" Sasuke yelled. He pulled against Naruto, trying to free himself. "You told me to trust you damn it!" "Naruto..." Kakashi murmured. "I'm sorry Sasuke..." He mumbled from behind him. The last thing Sasuke remembered was Naruto hitting the back of his neck. So I guess this is how Sakura felt... ------- Uchiha Burden is a spin off from Chidori Heart. Sakura cant stand all of the relationships that are happening while Sasuke is gone, but when Sasuke comes home, it triggers more events then any of them ever expected. Recollection
The war has ended, but nothing is as it should be. Team 7 is always busy and never see each other. Then they are sent on a mission to the Land of Winter to discover who is stealing medical supplies and killing off medical ninjas. As they all discover who each other really is, Sasuke uncovers some feeling he's never felt before and Naruto starts to see his friends in new ways. Strictly SasuSaku and minor NaruHina.
