MAYBE ITS BECAUSE YOU NEARLY DIED?" I froze. I turned away, anger bubbling in my veins. "You out of all people should know why I have to do this!" i growled through gritted teeth. He was silent and the more curious side took over. I turned back around to catch a tear slip down his face. "I can't lose you sophie, i've lost everyone. I can't lose you ever again" his barriers were down and I saw the broken boy inside. "i can't lose you"

He wasn't sure of what to make of his thoughts, and was scared of their implications. He kept wishing for a way to turn back time; to see if he could've done things a different way. But sometimes, all he needs may be a solid reminder that he wouldn't be where he was if it wasn't for his decision at every crossroads.
