Right in the midst of his winning-streak basketball season, Isaias is the King of the court, but one slip ignites everything. Setting his life ablaze. With his family outraged and his friend's silence, he has nowhere to turn to, within the chaos his aunt claims to take him. His family jumps at the opportunity, sending him away across the city.

Struggling he tries to scrape back together the few pieces left of himself, within an alien environment with a sliver of hollow familiarity. A family who has more energy than cars have fuel, a cousin whose relationship is less than stellar and seemingly an unresolved grudge against him, it's all an explosion ready to happen.

Doesn't help that said cousin is a lead player in the very school basketball team he has rivalled before. And the very cherry on top, Isaias has gathered that the other side of the city is completely and utterly insane.

All he can hope is however long his stay might be he can stay in one singular piece. Well, that's what he had hoped.

It could have been simple. Childhood friends - First Crushes - Football - Laughter - Cuteness - Love. Maybe even happily ever after. But it is not simple, and Noah doesn't know why. All he knows is that Ethan suddenly ghosted him when they were thirteen. Cutting their story short at Football. Now, years later, the same game throws them back into each other's lives when Ethan unexpectedly transfers to Noah's school. What he doesn't know is that Ethan comes fighting an invisible battle for control that Noah can't begin to understand. He just feels frustrated that Ethan seems hell bent on keeping a solid wall between them. A wall that keeps cracking. And the question is, once it finally breaks, can they find their way back to the story they were meant to have? ___________ Completed 19 of February 2026
