One minute they were complete strangers.

The next minute they were standing at the alter, declaring themselves to one other.

They didn't know each other.

They had no connection or friendship built up beforehand.

There was nothing in common with them either.

Just a business arrangement between two families looking to increase their wealthy.

Neither parties were fond of the idea, yet had no other choice but to comply with it.

No matter how difficult and weird it was.

If they had to then they had to.
