Out with the old, in with the new
Out with the unwanted, in with the wanted
Out with the Ryan, in with the Kajen
What does a good change do?
A new appearance, a new attitude and a new behaviour don't make a new person, but can they fix an old one?
Sooner or later, the seams will split, and a glimpse of an old life will turn strife for some people
There's nothing wrong with change, but how well can one keep up a façade
You could call Kajen a damaged soul
What does it equal when one takes an interest and unravels a split seam?
For everyone else, it may have seemed like eons ago that Ryan left school, but it was just a year. For Ryan, it was a very short year. He changed his name to Kajen and made himself into a new person before starting school again. Whether he came back to extract revenge on his bullies, he does not know. But he did come back for someone. River Ackerman.
That damn kid had better be feeling lucky.
Sometimes people play the same part for too long. It's like they are living in an old skin. They grew accustom to it. And even if it became unbearably tight you can't shed your skin. You can't change who you are. You can't make people see you in a new light. Especially if it's someone who took care of you from when you were a kid.
But what if I'm a grown-up now? What if I look at you not the way I used to? What if I love you?
