she was like sunshine for the south, softer than butter and sweeter than sweet tea. she was kindhearted and compassionate, a young woman whose heart was bigger than anything else, even sometimes bigger than her logic. but one thing she adored most about the world was the little children in it, whom she loved very dearly. she was not able to bear kids of her own, due to a traumatic incident in her early teens that left her infertile. however, she was a mother at heart, and cared for children any way she could. when she came from McCollins, South Carolina, to a small town in Alabama, she was newly divorced from her abusive ex-husband, and she is looking to start over. despite her traumatic past, daisy mae still manages to be a ray of sunshine in a rather dark time, especially for one man. -disclaimers and info in a/n-

"Meet me by the sunflower field where the sun always shines. The one next to the warm river where we had our first picnic together. 4:44 pm, our favorite angel number. From your dear Christopher." Daisy. The sparkle in her eyes could light up an entire city. Her laugh sounds like rain on the evenings while you try to sleep. Her long hair fly in the wind like birds coming home after a cold winter. Just from looking at her you wouldn't know that she has a mental illness. A mental illness that haunts her, that makes her unable to sleep at night. She meets Christopher in the summer time, and the sun smiles down at them while they hang out. What happens when she sees the mysterious summer fling boy at school? Will she listen to him and run away? #tsc22
