After being away, studying at college for 10 years, Alyssa Nachschon returns home to New York to visit family and friends for the holidays. She meets up with her old roommate, Adam Sackler, so they might catch up with each other. The two take time to reminisce and share some life changes. 

Later, after an unexpected turn of events, Alyssa returns to Adam's apartment, seeking solace. It's during Alyssa's stay that she discovers hidden feelings for her childhood friend that she never thought she had.
