When the detective rose on his feet to depart, Yn felt relieved. 'There's just one thing left to do,' she thought. She stood up and responded, "yea definitely officer" to the previous statement made by the other officer which she barely heard. "It was a pleasure meeting you Mr..?" she extended her hand, praying that the detective accepts it and not think of her as someone who was coming onto him. "Jungkook," he said, accepting it with a little shake.

His hands were warm in comparison to Yn's chilly ones. She glanced at him, then at their hands clasped together. Yn sensed some kind of safety in his handshake. He tightened his hold, not painfully, but more firmly. She looked back at him catching him already gazing at her. Their eyes seemed to communicate with each other without the need for actual words. Both of them felt a strange tension building around them before it was broken when the other guy in the room interrupted, "it was a pleasure meeting you too, Miss Yn," as they both glanced at him and retracted their hands back.

When a young, ambitious woman by the name of Joy was simply minding her business one day she stumbled into a very handsome stranger: a police officer. On the surface he was warm, inviting and worst of all he had an unmistakable charm about him that fueled the fear in her heart. To put things simply, the independent Joy - being an impressionable black woman who resided in the states - felt greatly intimidated by the police. Yet when met with the large eyes of the overtly friendly policeman, she feels greatly conflicted. What would they make of each other? It was a question the both of them found stalking them since that fateful encounter. Though, despite her fears he tends to show a growing attraction for the gorgeous lady that bumped into him. Soon, their connection begs what they'll make of their relationship... as well as the trials and tribulations brought with it. TRIGGER WARNING: This story was first published in 2018, and thus has preceded a lot of police-related world events (specifically from 2020 to the present). If the subject of police in America makes you uncomfortable please proceed with caution. Otherwise, thank you for giving my story a chance! Warning: This story features sexual themes and content, though the story does not revolve around it. Please read with caution if you are not comfortable with it. (Also, this isn't anything like what I've published in the past, but I've had this draft for several months prior to it being published and decided it's best to post it as an experiment. Don't hesitate to give feedback. Please enjoy!) Thank you.
