The memory of how this poem came to be is quite funny now but it definitely wasn't back then! my ex gf had created a fake profile just to message the guy she was cheating on me with. She didn't know that i had found out until she seen this poem. Jasmine was her "fake name"
Anyhoo after about 8 years of the back and forth chaos and lies, tit for tat and hurting each other. I simply decided to leave, but just because I left didn't mean my feelings had faded. So I vented to my pen and paper.

Jasmine: She was the wind. Brooke was lighting. And together they made a storm. The most unexpected storm of all. No one expected them to be together They were collateral damage Too "broken" to be prepared. Time Can't Heal This
I've always hated the saying "Time heals all wounds." Maybe in most cases that may be true. In my experience with life and pain however, time has only ever bled out the wound. The scars that the wounds left behind though, are often so deep that just looking at them becomes painful to the mind. Time only heals what you let go of. Sometimes letting go and moving on just doesn't feel possible; no matter how much time you let pass you by. These poems signify what time hasn't healed for me.Complete
One Thousand Tears
I've tried to release this pain in so many different ways; But writing about you seems to be one of my faves. I don't understand how I find closure When I know it only lasts until the poem is over. Somehow it feels like some sort of imaginary relief to my reality. As if, the pain I feel only exists until the words are free.
