God told His angels that He plans to create man who will be My deputy on the earth.Angels some how had an idea that men on earth will create bloodshed.The submitted to God this idea of humans and bloodshed.God said,*you do not know what I know*.Then God created man and named him Adam.After that God told all angels to prostate before Adam.All angels prostrated but Iblis or Satan refused.Satan was basicallly a Ginn but had somehow attained the status of an angel.God was very unhappy.He asked Satan why he disobeyed Him.Satan talked back saying *I am superior to Adam because I was created from fire while Adam has been created by the inferior material that is mud*.Allah told Satan to get lost immediately.Satan again talked back and asked God to allow him to prove his point that he is superior to man.God said ok.You are given permission till the day of judgement to prove your point.
