Essa é a história de Ren, um presente divino dado a Komiko, ao menos é assim que ela e sua família o chamam, diferente do marido de Komiko, que se diz não ser pai do garoto, por conta de seus olhos vermelhos. Ninguém menciona a cor de seus olhos por conta do ancião da família Delavux, ele proibira de mencionar a cor de seus olhos nos aposentos dele e ainda disse que o menino deveria ser expulso pela mãe, ele tinha sangue de uma besta, mas Komiko não se manteve calada e disse que se o filho saísse da casa, ela sairia junto, mesmo que os guardas gritassem por respeito, nenhum se aproximou dela, por sua fama em seus dias de soldada. Desde então, Komiko, Ren e a empregada pessoal de Komiko moram na outra metade da mansão, dividida pela própria Komiko.
