Luz, Amity, Gus, Willow, and Hunter are trapped in the human realm. Rain is pouring down on them, they're covered in cuts and bruises, and their only way back to the Demon Realm has been completely destroyed.
With little options, the five friends are forced to adapt to the new, strange lifestyle of the Human Realm. At the same time, those in Bonesborrough are desperately trying to stay alive as the Collector runs rampant through the isles, looking for new players to add to his game. As witches and demons start to mysteriously disappear, the Owl Crew is running out of time to try and construct a new portal.
Unbeknownst to the Hexside squad, the remains of Belos have been trapped in the human realm as well. And those remains are stuck with the last person you'd want them to be with.
Will both groups be able to reunite once again? Or will everything crumble around them as their worlds crash and burn?

At 17 years old Luz decided to run from home she manage to go between realms and ended up on the Boiling Isles. When she decides to stay and help Eda, the most wanted witch on the Boiling Isles, her life turns upside down. She has to deal with various threats, from the deadly environment, and tyrannical government, to her own demons. After a few months, she finally managed to more or less stabilize her life, no matter the outside threats but everything changed as a new foe appeared in her life. How will she deal with the new problem? Will fighting your way through be enough?
