(HP Fanfic - Marcus Flint/OC) Many things were expected of Marcus Flint. By 43, he was supposed to be taking over his father's large firm, spoiling his pureblood wife and children with riches. Taking his place in the pureblood circle of the wizarding world. In short, he was meant to be living a successful life according to the standards of a world he doesn't much like.

Instead, he was divorced and running his own small firm. Still making amends for his school-time wrongdoings (because Merlin forbid you forgive a Slytherin - even one who changed sides). And, of course, spending time with his eternal bachelor of a best friend, Adrian Pucey.

Despite his parents' disappointment, Marcus is happy with his quiet, albeit slightly boring, life. Or well, happier, at least. Even if he was alone.
