He was terrified of Spot physically and romantically. Race had seen Spot a few times and saw him during the strike, Race had fallen hard for this Brooklyn boy, but so many things could go wrong if Spot or anyone else found out about it. " Ace! Hotshot!" Spot yells. "Be ready by the time Jack Kelly gets here!" Spot yells again. To say the least Spot was nervous, he wasn't nervous of Jack, but he had heard rumors that Jack's second was coming with him.
