Isabella Giuliani was a regular Florida girl, with a great boyfriend and two best friends with a scholarship to an Ivy League school. Everything was going great until she found her boyfriend cheating on her. She flees away, intending to stay the night with her friends. Until she comes across a waterfall she used to visit when she was a girl.
When she climbs into the cave behind the waterfall, she is suddenly sucked in and when she emerges, she is surrounded by men wearing weird clothing and carrying swords. She runs away, running into a handsome man who claims that he is a pirate under the command of the ruthless pirate Blackbeard, who turns out to be her ally. She realizes that she is in the 1700's and she needs to find a way home.
But after spending time on the Queen Anne's Revenge and it's all male crew, she discovers parts of herself that she isn't sure she wants to leave behind. Will she become a pirate herself, or will she fall under the curse?
