For 17-year-old high school senior Evan Brooks, life could be better. He's a social outcast at school, stuck in a rural Alabama small town he never wanted to move to, and he's got a secret he's desperately trying to keep: he's gay. When he embarks on a weekend vacation to the Florida panhandle with his hypermasculine brother, homophobic stepdad, and aloof mother, none of them can anticipate how much a simple 3-day trip will change their lives forever... **2025 Update: Hi! "Stay here, and behave like a good girl." He told you. You watch him walk away to go talk to a group of his friends. Were they his friends? You could never tell. You turn once more to make sure he isn't watching you, before making a run for it. This is the first time you've gotten a chance to escape him in months, and you're so close to reaching the exit when you feel someone pull you back onto a hard chest and holding you in place by a strong grip on your throat. You wince and hold your eyes shut. "Going somewhere darling?" His voice asks. "I thought I told you to behave." His grip on you gets tighter and you moan and whine in pain. "You weren't being a good girl like I told you to be." He teases and pulls your hair back, making you look at him. "What do you say Azura?"
