The noble warrior, Macduff, is invited to stay at King Macbeth's castle, Inverness, as reward for defending Scotland. But Macduff has strong suspicion that Macbeth killed the last king, Duncan, not Prince Malcolm like everyone suspects. During his time at Inverness, Queen Rossalyn takes an interest in Macduff and how noble he is compared to her husband.
