Left for dead as a child, Dorothy Chapman has only one heirloom to help her find parents who may not exist, and is stuck working hard to survive in a world catered to men. Their mission is difficult, even with their experienced mentor on hand, but grows harder still as they begin uncovering the truths about their origins and have to handle their blossoming feelings for those who they cannot have.
