B.H.A.G.D. Birleşmiş Hükümet Araştırma ve Geliştirme Deneyi Yakın gelecekte, biyolojik savaşın sonrasında insanlık büyük bir darbe alıyor. İnsan bedeni ancak 18 - 25 yaşlarına kadar dayanabiliyor. 25 yaşını geçen kişinin bedeni çürüyor ve kişi ölmeye başlıyor. Bunun tek tedavisi ise zenginlerin bile alamayacağı antidotta saklı. Bedeni çürümeye başlayanlar deneye tabi tutuluyor. Deneye giren bin kişiden yalnızca ilk onu antidotu alarak insan bedenine tekrar kavuşabiliyor. Geriye kalan doksan kişi de acı verici operasyonlarla çürümüş vücut bölümlerini metal protezlerle değiştiriyor ve yarı robot şeklindeki insanlara dönüşüyorlar. Onlara da sayborg deniliyor. İnsan ve sayborg olanların dışında kalanlar çürümeye devam eden bedenleriyle sınır dışı ediliyor. Nixie zamanla savaşmalı, bedeni çürümeden testi geçmeli ve kardeşinin bir sayborg olduğunu herkesten gizlemelidir. Bu ölümcül bir deney ve sonuçları daha da ölümcül.

Why was it suddenly so difficult, so strenuous to keep living in her pastel world when this mysterious girl brought such bright colours with her?
