Of course it was fake.
She hated her life so much that it almost made herself end her own life. Dipper got more and more worried about her, he was her brother for Christ sakes! He wanted to do something but couldn't. Mabel's had friends left her, Pacifica has turned almost everyone against poor Mabel.
Her day was normal until someone she haven't seen in years.
