When the Smoke Clears - Arthur Morgan X Reader
When the Smoke Clears is a visceral, slow-burn fanfiction set in the world of Red Dead Redemption 2. You are Harlan van der Linde's daughter - born into outlaw blood, but raised in a house ruled by fear. After years of silence, years of enduring the man who killed your mother and kept you captive, you finally break free - leaving behind blood, fire, and a past you can never outrun.
You flee to the only place that might still feel like home: Dutch van der Linde's camp. A place you once visited frequently when you were younger, but you're not a child anymore, and the gang doesn't know what to make of you - especially Arthur Morgan, who remembers your father and the girl he'd brought around camp, but who knows nothing of the woman you've become.
As old loyalties clash with new tensions, you must navigate a world where trust is scarce, danger is constant, and your freedom has come at a steep cost.

This will follow many of the same themes and loose plot lines of the game, but I am mainly using the characters from the game to write my own story. So don't expect everything from the game to translate over into this story.
