Janis opens her mouth but nothing comes out of it. The other woman doesn't share the same reaction as her. She doesn't look surprised. Doesn't look confused. She just looks tired. 

Minutes could have passed as they stood there, the two faces -the same face- looking at one another. Maybe hours. Maybe just mere seconds. Janis doesn't know. Doesn't even remember.

All she remembers is the sound of the train arriving.

But still, something for the pain would always help, and the boy with the pretty eyes seems like a good enough distraction. This is a hobby project intended to work some creative muscles, which is why you may see iterations of the same characters in my stories. While not true fan fiction, this work is inspired by several of my favorite movies and film characters. I like to drop lines from these movies and characters as little Easter eggs.
