After the death of Lan Xichen's sworn brothers he went into seclusion to calm his mind down but he couldn't focus neither on meditation,cultivation or peace there was always a "Yearning" of something or someone deep inside his mind and heart.
Jiang Cheng was caught up in handling his sect and teaching his nephew how to handle being sect leader. If he didnt have any sect work then he would be caught up with Jin ling. Whenever he went to sleep he had the same nightmare it scared him so much that he never again showed anyone the vulnerable side of him.
