Paint Us Gray: Part 1
Rejection. Betrayal. Heartbreak. Grief. Unfortunately, we've all had a swallow, some more than others, of this bitter brew. This is just a sliver of my chapter that is a part of this world's grand narrative; it's about one person's toe dipping into the brokenness of the Earth, and the ripples, waves, tsunamis it created in her life. A couple of months ago, while consoling a friend grieving the loss of a relationship, he asked me a question no one had ever asked me before. A very vulnerable and powerful question. I had been sharing some of my own similar experiences with him when he messaged me that life changing question, "And, what did you see at the top of the mountain?" While his words were just letters on a screen, I could see the hunger in his eyes, hear the desperation in his voice, sense the overwhelming thirst of a person climbing up an incredibly steep and treacherous mountain. What did I see at the top of the mountain? This book is my answer to this question. Let's go for a hike.Complete

Just A Step Away
He placed a bracelet on my wrist and kissed the back of my hand. "Happy Birthday katherine." "It's beautiful Adam. Thank you." I said whilst admiring the beauty of a bracelet. I saw love in his eyes. Wait, love? I was trying to figure out his emotion but I sensed a shadow besides me. I turned to see the person. My knees became weak, my heart was beating like a thunder and butterflies erupted in my stomach. I swallowed the lump in my throat and cleared my vocal cord to say the most awaited name. "Darwin?" "Happy birthday sunshine. I know it's your birthday today but I want a gift instead." I looked at him with confusion. "I want you." There he said that again. 3 words 8 letters but that sentence had a power to stop my breathing.Complete

Miracle -COMPLETED
--So much on this earth is a miracle. But we fail to see them -- Two friends. One ceremony. One terrible accident. When Jade ended up with something life changing, she thought everything was over for her. And maybe it was. Someone can light a small flame of hope in everyone of us. But sometimes it turns into an inferno and burns us all. I had to write this for a school project and my friend said it was pretty good, so now I'm just "Jesus take the wheel" I got inspired by Disney's "Encanto", but the storyline and the characters are made by me.
