Jason, the youngest child of the Potters was marked as the Boy-Who-Lived on 31st October, 1981.
James and Lily knew that he was doomed to be chained to the war forever, but they'd hoped that at least their eldest child would escape that fate. Unfortunately for them, Harry bound himself in the centre of it along with his brother.
People react differently to traumatic events. Harry's answer to it was joining Lord Voldemort.
